Bethany Kindergarten gives students the foundation they need in reading, writing, and arithmetic, along with many other special study units.

Morning class only 9am-12pm.

Taught By Mrs. Susette Losen & Mrs. Kristen Jones.

Latchkey

During the school year, we have a latchkey program (available for local schools). The children may come before and/or after school plus during school vacation days. Program includes an afternoon snack, games, homework time, and age appropriate activities.

Virtual Learning Assistance

Many schools are unable to offer in-person classes 5 days a week for students this year. We understand parents need to work, so we have created a plan to help facilitate your child’s learning process.  We are offering a program to help you provide care for your child during the day while they continue their education. Please call us if you have a need for elementary care this school year.

Summer Elementary

We us a STEAM (science, art, technology, engineering, art, and math) curriculum by incorporating projects, cooking, sports and drama to make learning more interesting and educational. We strive to provide children with the perfect balance of academics, independent play and fun. Daily devotions, quiet reading and walking field trips are also an important part of our summer curriculum.

F.A.Q.

Are you licensed?

Yes, we are fully licensed by the State of Michigan.

What are your policies on vacation/sick days/snow day/summer hours/etc.?

After 3 months of attendance, children are allowed a certain number of sick and/or vacation days. After the allotted number of days has been used there is a fee for missed days. See full details here. We are usually open even if public schools are closed.

What are your teacher-to-child ratios?

Teacher to child ratio = 1 teacher per 10 children.

Is there a weekly learning plan?

Weekly lesson plans, themes and academic goals are used throughout the year. Let us know if you’d like to view a sample lesson plan.

How, and how often, do you sanitize the toys and materials used by the children?

Toys, materials and high touch surfaces are sanitized daily and as needed throughout the day.

View our Covid-19 safety guidelines.

What security measures do you take for your facility?

Bethany has a recorded security camera system and an electronic door entry system that requires the use of a passcard for entry. An audio speaker and door buzz also allow our staff to better control access to the facility and check identification as needed.

Do you conduct background checks on all your employees?

All staff have been screened according to Michigan Licensing regulations. Fingerprinting and FBI background checks are completed.

What is your discipline policy?

We have not found a large amount of discipline problems to be present over the years. If necessary, we stress positive forms of discipline which usually means a child must sit out of a particular activity and have a “time-out” for a period of time. Recurring problems will be discussed with parents.

What happens if we’re late to pick-up or need to miss a day due to vacation or illness?

Please call our facility and let us know if you will be late to pick up your child. There is a $10 fee for every 15 minutes after 6pm. If your child is absent please call and let us know they will not be attending on that day.

What are your rates?

You can view our Fee Schedule here. If you have a special circumstance that you don’t see outlined in our fee schedule please contact us to discuss your options.
